5 Star Home Care has compiled a list of in home senior care and general elderly care resources and organizations that you can contact for more information on various aspects of home care. This list is not exhaustive or all-inclusive and is meant to serve you as a place to start if you are seeking additional information or resources.

ACLS Stroke Information & Resource Guide
An informational resource for families wanting to learn more about the VA Aid and Attendance Benefit.

Veterans Care Coordination
Provides assistance to veterans and their families via free screening and application assistance. If a veteran or spouse appears eligible for the benefit, VCC will assist with care services during and after the application approval process and will continually assist with VA documentation requirements and expense monitoring to ensure continued eligibility. 5 Star works with VCC by providing an initial screening for veterans and their families, sending in professional referrals to VCC requesting that a representative reach out to the family, and following along in the approval process as needed.

Alzheimer's Association - Tennessee
Provides help and hope for those living with Alzheimer's disease and their families, seeking a cure to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. A public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging, this nationwide service connects older Americans and their caregivers with information on senior services: 800-677-1116

Meals On Wheels
Nationally-based nutrition program providing meals to seniors who need them each day. Some programs serve meals at congregate locations like senior centers; some programs deliver meals directly to the homes of seniors whose mobility is limited, and many programs provide both services.
